6 New Classrooms Completed
As the school has grown in both student numbers and in the range of subjects on offer, so too have grown the demands on classroom space. Certain pre-fabricated classrooms were condemned by the Education Department and are not regarded as adequate. Both educators and learners find it difficult to produce their best efforts while freezing in winter, and boiling in summer. A brand new state of the art wing, incorporating 6 classrooms, has been completed.
The technical handover of the new building was handled at the beginning of March. The 6 classroom, double-storey block, designed by Mr Bill Farrenkothen, will incorporate Mathematics Classrooms, a Science Laboratory and an Art Room. An add-on of 4 further classrooms will be possible if sufficient funds can be raised.
Learners, teachers and SGB members attended the site dedication ceremony on the 2nd March 2015.
